Milroy's
This is a side of lymphoedema that I know little about what I do know is that on our children's group there are two or three families whose children who have been diagnosed with this condition.
Milroy’s Disease is a condition that affects the normal function of the lymphatic system. The lymphatic system produces and transports fluids and immune cells throughout the body the impaired transport allows an accumulation of lymph fluid that can cause swelling known as (lymphoedema). This swelling can be present at birth or develop in the early years. The lymphedema typically occurs on both sides of the body and may worsen over time. Typically, the lower legs and feet are affected.
